When I use a product that not only works, but ends up saving me money, I definitely want to give it a shout out. So, check it out.
Last Friday, I had an appointment with the dentist for a routine cleaning. Without even thinking about it, I wore my usual attire, a white shirt and tie. Like this:
Well, you can probably guess what comes next. Now, this may be a case of TMI (too much information for those of you not from the 80s/90s). But, while I brush regularly, I admit that I have been remiss in flossing on a regular basis. Maybe once or twice a week. But you know what that means when you go to the dentist. Heck, if that little piece of string causes some bleeding, you know my gums are no match for that sharp metal pick.
So, the dentist finishes the cleaning, unreclines my chair, and I look down at my shirt. What do I see? a bunch of little red dots all over the shirt. Yes, they put one of those bibs over my shirt. And no, it didn't help.
Thinking that my shirt is ruined, and I'm going to have to head straight to Ross Dress for Less and spend $18 for a new shirt, I was upset at how my day was beginning. As I drove past a Rite-Aid, I thought to myself, "self... you should try one of those stain remover sticks."
So, I pulled in to the Rite Aid, and found the Tide To Go stain remover stick. I walked up to the counter and the cashier did a once over of my shirt and said, "Ah, I see. Well, good luck. I hope it works."
I read the directions as I walked to my car. "Press tip against stained area. Rub fabric with tip to remove stain." Skeptical, I got into my car, and went at the largest of the stains.
Like freaking magic, it disappeared! I went right after the next one, and again, David Blane morphed into a little stain remover stick! I love this stuff!
For a grand total of $3.78, I saved a shirt, and plan to keep this stuff with me everywhere I go. I guarantee you there will come a day when this little thing is called on to rescue me from a coffee stain.
Way to go Tide!
Another one for the record, that Tide pen got Texas BBQ stains out of my white fuzzy sweater! (Yeah, I know I kinda deserved it for wearing that sweater for THAT lunch but still.)
