Thanks again for sending in your results. This week we have twelve participants. I messed up a little on this. I put up the post requesting Week 2 results on Friday morning. I'm not sure what time CNBC settles their books, but it appears some time after dinner each night. As a result, I think we got results from Thursday's close, Friday's close, and maybe even Monday's close. Although, I don't think CNBC has updated today's results as of this writing.
Anyway, we have a legitimate competitor among our participants. Ben, who is either not a blogger, or did not provide a link to his site has an impressive $1,305,532.95 in his portfolio. That gives him a ranking of 2,218, a top 1% ranking.
Here are the rest of the results...
- LivingAlmostLarge: Value $1,030,000.00, Rank ?, top 17%
- Bobby: Value $1,027,988.64, Rank 59,515, top 19%
- MoneyFwd: Value $1,025,240.30, Rank 28,080, top 9%
- Fanatix: Value $1,017,275.14, Rank 60,067, top 19%
- Charles: Value $1,008,605.61, Rank 69,829, top 23%
- Robert Cote: Value $1,008,329.40, Rank 87,508, top 28%
- Todd: Value $1,007,994.37, Rank 109,362, top 33%
- Lulu: Value $1,006,956.81, Rank 105,366, top 34%
- Joey: Value $1,004,850.00, Rank 109,906, top 33%
- LAMoneyGuy: Value $1,003,773.37, Rank 114,380, top 34%
- thatedguy: Value $1,003,245.50, Rank 103,858, top 33%
Comments:
- Yes, I realize that the "Rank" and "top %" don't make any sense. This goes back to what I said at the beginning of the post. Ithink we have results from two, and possibly three different date.
- No negative nellies. Frankly, I'm surprised. However, thatedguy's comments explains some of this. "My A$$ is being saved by the $6000 in bonus bucks I've manage to guess my way into. Otherwise, I'd be in the red pretty well." I haven't participated in bonus bucks. I think the point of the competition is to see who can trade their way to the biggest portfolio, not who can answer the most trivia questions to the biggest portfolio.
For people who don't want to spend time searching for those elusive questions, the answers are being posted on this blog every day:

I only just found this so I'm sorry if you fell behind a bit with the bonus cash.
