Points, Miles, Rewards Balance Update

Here is a monthly update of my points, miles and other rewards balances.

Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards:  13.5 points. 2.5 more needed for a free flight.

Hilton Honors:  177,823 points.  We are getting closer to the 240,000 needed for the five nights at a premium hotel in Rome for our Honeymoon.  If we pass it early, we'll have to think about how we want to allocate the remaining points.

MBNA WorldPoints:  23,435 points.  I don't use this card very often, but I'm getting very close to the 25,000 needed for a free plane ticket.

Discover Cash Back Bonus:  $25.47.  As I metioned before, I usually redeem this for a gift card for greater value.  I will redeem it when I figure out what we will most likely put to good use.  By the way, Discover's current "extra" cash back bonus program is for restaurants, movies, books and music.  I'll write a follow up post with more details, but this is a great opportunity to ramp up your cash back bonus bucks if you are a Discover Card holder.

American Airlines:  6,450 miles

MyPoints Balance:  2,638.  This past month, I needed to make two online purchases, three Saturday Night Live Best of DVDs for a gift, and get well flowers.  By going through MyPoints instead of the sites directly, I got some points that I can redeem for more Hilton Honors points, or a variety of gift cards.  3,250 points is needed for a variety of $25 gift cards.

I'm 24 right now and have a little over 70,000 points right now so I'm waiting to reach 125K by 2008 so I can go to Hawaii with a few college buds (hopefully, the offer is still on).

Amused, what a funny comment. Yes, it's true that I didn't consider thee SNL DVDs a necessity. What I suppose I should have said was that I had two PLANNED online purchases, and earned extra mypoints points by going through their site instead of directly to overstock.com or flowers.com. Sheesh, indeed.
