I swear these are random. About five weeks ago I started the Random Personal Finance Blog Sundays. I created a spreadsheet, listing all of the blogs that were listed under "Personal Finance" on pfblogs.org at the time. My goal was to spend some time reading some of the blogs that I did not normally get to. We all have our favorites, but I also recognize that there is some terrific information, and some terrific writers that I may not have discovered yet. Well, there are far too many to go through them all, and I didn't just want to do it alphabetically, so I decided to let the fates pick them for me. Or at least a random number generator.
This week's selection is another favorite. City Girl's Financial Blog is written by Cecilia Green of the San Francisco Bay area.
City Girl is fairly new on the scene, starting up this past March. In the short time that her site has been live, she has definitely let her presence be known. She posts almost every day, and her posts are a good mix of the academic, the personal and the general. Like others, she provides account balance updates, financial goals and book reviews. One of the things that distinguishes her is the honesty and vulnerability she shows in her writing, such as why she eats out for lunch, and her decision to apply for med school. Sorry, I was trying to link those posts, but for some reason couldn't figure out how to get the permalink. You'll have to go find them yourself.
Go check it out, and tell her I said Hi!
Oh wow. Sorry I came across this a bit late. Thanks for the plug! :-)

If you want to get loaded...then you gotta get control of your cashflow. And that means for the rest of your life.
Hard to do? Not in the least if you're focused on really controlling your cashlfow. By that I do NOT mean counting your money all the time. I mean controlling when it comes in and when it goes out of your life. Check out The B Word to see how it's done...and eliminate the struggle for financial control for the rest of your life. http://www.thebword.com
thx!
