The number of message boards on the internet is pretty insane. There are a few sports related boards that I occasionally drop in on. There are boards to discuss just about anything out there. Are you a huge Jack Bauer fan? There are boards for you. Can't get enough American Idol? You'll never get to everything out there. Whether it's sports, money, entertainment, politics, or relationships, there are numerous boards for you to chat with like minded people.
So, of course there are loads of money message boards just waiting for you. Here are a few of the most widely used message boards about money:
- Motley Fool
- Simple Living
- Kiplinger Community
- Rich Dad (Yep, Robert Kiyosaki has a whole board all his own)
- MSN Money Central
- Craig's List, but stay off the real estate board. It's pretty much reduced to a bunch of guys calling each other idiots and worse.
- And most importantly... The Money Blog Network Forums!
Did I miss any?
Are you active on any of these boards? If so, what has your experience been? Do you feel you have learned from other users? Do you simply go for lively discussion about topics that interest you? Have you made any connections from these that have extended off line?
Yes, I also visit to the message boards that you listed. My favourite will be Rich Dad forum and MSN Money Center where I really learn a lot from both message boards.
Yes, I only read those topics that i interest in. The internet world is full of information and I think it is better to read what I interested since I have no time to cover all of them :-)

You have some interesting posts. I wrote about the Craigslist money board http://nextbracket.com/2006/02/15/craigslist-money-forum/ but wasn't sure how helpful it's been. A lot of the postings are by people who seem bored at work. There have been a few helpful and interesting posts though.

Cool stuff. I'm always looking for any good resources. I agree Kyle, craigslist has a lot of junk, but some interesting stuff if you look hard enough.
