We stepped outside the box this week and participated in a couple of carnivals that are not our usual. Let me start with the ones in which we have become regulars:
2Million hosted the Carnival of Personal Finance. Check out Mover Mike's story about jewelers trying to keep up with the price of gold.
TechieDay hosted the Carnival of Business. Professor Bainbridge takes on Sarbanes-Oxley.
The Carnival of Investing was hosted by InvestorGeeks. Laws of Finance thinks that Dividend Reinvestment Plans are Over-Rated!
Then, there were the carnivals that we don't normally participate in...
The first was the Carnival of Crazy. I'm not going to send you to any of their links, but let's just say that this carnival lives up to its name. My post was the story of the guy who won two cars in a very unlikely minor league game giveaway. Mine was a sort of, "wow, isn't that crazy?" Most of theirs was more like, "No, that's just wrong!"
And on the opposite end of the spectrum, I am rather proud to participate in the Carnival of Education. One of the posts warns that school administrators may be using your kids blog entries against them. Think your employer may be doing the same?
I don't work outside the home right now, but I am a bit paranoid that my future employer will be reading my blog. Not that a frugality blog really would be a cause to be fired, but you never know!
