The root of all evil is...

You'll be glad to know that it's not money.  Well, money is one of them.  But can there really be more than one root of ALL evil?  Wouldn't we just say that money of one of the roots of some evil?

I went to the definitive source of all knowledge.

I googled, root of all evil.

First Result:  Some kind of show.  I think it's British.  I really don't know what to make of it.  Anyway, he seems to be of the opinon that faith is the root of all evil.  That's really quite opposite from what I expected to find.

Second Result:  Rootofallevil.com.  How were they not first?  It's a music label in Minnesota.  I don't think they have a particular stance on whom or what is the root of all evil.  But if I know anything at all about independent labels (and I don't), I would guess that their pick for the root of all evil is the major recording labels (sony, arista, bmg...)

Third Result:  Income Tax.  Well, it's getting money related.  I dunno.  I think evil was around before income taxes.  I guess we could say the same thing about recording studios.  You know these last two are more related than we think.  They both imply that established power is evil.  Not evil, in my opinion, but corruptable.

Fourth Result:  Women.  Okay, there was a time I might have gone along with this one.

Fifth Result:  Money.  There it is!  So, money is only the fifth cause of evil.  More specifically that same site goes on to say, "love of money is the root of all evil."  Well, now we're confused again.  Which is it?  Money, or the love of money?

well the actual quote is "The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil."

The love of money is A root, not THE root. And what's more, it's not of all evil, but of all kinds of evil. So, PF blogging is ok as long as we don't love money too much ;)
