First of all, I made a major change to my layout. Revamped the colors and the column sizes. Let me know what you think.
As always, there were some blogtastic posts this week.
Jim at Blueprint for Financial Prosperity takes the controversial stance that Student Loan Debt is an Investment!
Tim at MyMoneyForest disagrees in Make 1.8 Million Dollars.
Cap at Stop Buying Crap asks if Money Changes a Person.
Mapgirl takes on a little discussed topic in the PF blogging world: Long Term Care Insurance. Most of us are pretty young, and don't yet think about things like nursing care, except maybe for our parents. Check out her post, it may open some eyes.
Have you seen CityGirl's Financial Blog? She's new, and looking for some advice on layout, ads, etc. (aren't we all?)
And we'll conclude with a little self promotion. My best posts this week were:
Bad Decisions in Deal or No Deal
Wedding Stuff: Reducing the Guest List
Discover Card Cashback Program Review
Are you on MySpace?
and before you sit down to watch the Final Four this weekend, read my piece on College Coaching Salaries.
I would also like to thank JLP at AllFinancialMatters (formerly AllThingsFinancial) for making me his Blog of the Week.
Have a great weekend!

Hey there, thanks for including my post. I actually agree that the debt from school is worth it. The payoff is huge! :) I like your new blog style.

Thanks for spreading the word! :-)
In general, I like your new layout. The navigation is still good and the ability to resize the blog is a big plus. I agree that the new column width makes it much easier to read your posts. The one thing that I really don't like is your title font; "It's Just Money" looks way pixelated on my browser (firefox) and makes me feel like I'm back in the dot matrix printer days.

much much better. the old one was killing me in terms of width of column. I really want to change my layout too so I can fully use whatever available space that's on a visitor's computer screen... (too lazy though!)
thanks for the link sir

Yea, I was going for the old green screen look. :)
I'm planning on making my own banner. In the meantime, I guess I'll test different fonts. Thanks for the input.

Not a fan of the new layout. The old format was one of the reasons I liked to view this site.

Especially bad is the USC colors!!!

Hey Bronco, you hatin' on the Trojans? I liked the colors, but I felt it was a time for a change. Going away from green. Also, the previous format was one of the preset designs, and the only way to expand the column width was to make it custom.

Ahh, much better. :-)
My biggest problem in creating customized banners has been trying to get it to resize well without messing up the layout.
